Seattle narrative artist Jane Hickey Caminos: “On Women Bound” – a one woman show of thought provoking activist paintings.
Opening reception on Saturday, January 11, 2020, from 6-9 PM
This timely exhibition commences a week before the 2020 Seattle Women’s March and continues through February 29. “The intent of ‘On Women Bound’ is to increase awareness of crimes against the female gender, be they a culture away or an incidence of domestic violence in a nearby couple’s kitchen. I understand that as an artist, I have a responsibility to use my gift to help these millions of traumatized women. I want the paintings to generate a dialogue that will be carried from the exhibition out to others.” Turning victims into the victorious -Jane Hickey Caminos, Activist Artist
