Celebrate the holiday season in Seattle’s oldest neighborhood with Georgetown Art Attack! Meet the gifted array of industrial, fine arts, contemporary visual arts, musicians and makers that inspire us the whole year round.

Be sure to hop on the FREE and family friendly Art Ride Bus to west end locations such as studio e, and Equinox Studios for their Very Open House There are pick locations thru out Georgetown, enabling your inner art lover to experience it all.


Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery   Celebrate Fantagraphics Bookstore’s 12th Anniversary with the exhibition HOW NOT TO DRAW COMICS  by Seattle cartoonist-turned-painter Jeremy Eaton. Opening Saturday, December 8, 6:00 to 9:00 PM with music by Bounty of the Wayside and The War of Northern Aggression . Exhibition continues through January 9.

All City Coffee   Holotropic is a series of works by Leo Shallat that explores the themes of growth and self reflection exhibiting thru December. Holotropic is defined as “Turning or changing – movement toward wholeness.” Each piece in this collection details a specific challenge, or aspect of self growth. These pieces are personal to the artist but are intended to explore themes relevant to anyone on the journey of self discovery.

Georgetown Music Join us for an acoustic performance from local songsters Bobby Malvestuto, Candice Rose and special guest.

Mainframe  Paintings, illustrations and photography will be showcased at Mainframe during Art Attack. Featuring the photography of Paul Hernandez ‘s grunge era retrospective, “Star Gazing” .  Alongside these are the coffee sketch illustrations of Bud Cook , entitled“Grunge Gods” , as well as the surreal, whimsical pen and ink drawings of Socar Myles . Local artists Julie Baroh and Kyle Abernethy , the founders of Krab Jab Studio will also be exhibiting sets of fantastical paintings.

Illumination Studio# 305   Concepts In Abstract . Come in to where color lives. We specialize in abstract, organic, color field and spacial paintings. Dari Stolzoff with abstract and organic, Ferrell with color field and spacial, Ramona Bell with narrative, abstract paintings and Badieh Bryant painting geometric abstract. Also enjoy Luscious Leopard Lips , our DJ with a Theremin, playing atmospheric music in the background. Color at its most vibrant.

Georgetown Arts and Cultural Center   “Figures and Landscapes”, new works by local artist Dave Clay. Dave’s work expresses the emotional and physical aspects of sexuality,isolation, distortion and environmental elements that affect each one of us. Lush and sensual examples of the human body and Industrial landscapes.

The Palace Theatre and Art Bar  presents Holiday Pop-up art shop and Disco Christmas Party ! The New Palace Theater and Art Bar is doing an artist’s pop up shop for Art Attack Dec 8th. Come in to shop local artists and then stick around for a fun night of Christmas Disco with Disco Vinnie.

Praxis Arts Through The Crystal Ball an exhibition by Alyson McCrink (Spellbound Fine Art). Seattle based professional artist whom creates other worldliness in a variety of mediums, sizes and textures utilizing ink, gold flake and resin on wood panel, as well as acrylic, modeling paste and gold/silver/copper leafing on stretched canvas.

studio e   Warren Dykeman continues to “hunt for the right kind of wrong” as he merges folk art, Neo-primitive, graphic art, and typography in his latest mixed-media collaged paintings. In Attention Span , his second solo exhibition with studio e, and following his recent show at Volta NY, Dykeman has found an original way to bring digital designing tools into his artwork, and juxtapose those with the physical and abusive handling of his pieces. The resulting works showcase the artist’s signature iconography including exquisite weeds, “big dumb boots,”, potted shrubbery, flaming wigs, floating scaffolding, and mysterious silhouetted figures achieved by digital manipulation of a hand-drawn form and shape, further reworked by traditional painting and drawing techniques.

Come straight to Equinox in West Georgetown or take the ArtRide shuttle from Airport Way. Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery Jonathan Evison reads from the 10th anniversary edition of his debut novel All About Lulu, winner of the 2008 Washington State Book Award. He has since gone on to a stellar career of bestselling books including West of Here, The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving (adapted to a Nexflix original film starring Paul Rudd and Selena Gomez), and This is Your Life Harriett Chance! On display will be an exhibition of prints by Wallace Wood.

Georgetown Records  Saturday, March 10, 8:00 PM, Berlin musician Mary Ocher performs songs from her new album, The West Against the People, produced by Krautrock icon Hans-Joachim Irmler of Faust.

All City Coffee  Clutter by Steven Reddy. Steven Reddy draws detailed scenes of urban clutter in pen, ink and watercolor. Steven teaches Illustration at Gage Academy in Seattle, has two online classes with Craftsy.com, taught at the USk 2017 Symposium in Chicago, and has published three large-format illustrated memoirs based on 40 years of obsessive daily drawing. His latest book is Everyday Sketching and Drawing: 5 Steps to a Unique and Personal Sketchbook Habit.

Bridge Productions  Kat Larson, “carefull” Come by the next 2 Saturdays, 2-7pm to see Kat Larson’s tender imagery in photos and video. Among our favorite pieces is this lightwell, in which you discover inner light. Other works include slideshows of the Ghost, shot during Larson’s residency in Reykjavik.

Prairie Underground  Artist Residency featuring Francesca Lohman. Francesca Lohmann will be Prairie Underground’s Artist in Residence for the month of March. The residency is an open-ended exploration within the gallery space using taffy, floral materials, and other collected objects to produce new work.

Oxbow presents More Light an installation by Katy Stone as part of her 2 month residency. Opening reception on March 10, 6-9 during Art Attack.

Georgetown Liquor Company  Francine Buckner has lived in Georgetown for 11 years and will be showing photographs of the neighborhood and other urban and rural landscapes, microscopy photos, and a collection of portraits of Istanbul and it’s street cats.

Ceres Studio located at 5626 Airport Way S is featuring live music, homemade, seasonal bites, and four painters: Deborah Stachowic does beeswax encaustic, fused glass, jewelry, and watercolor. Marie Stuppard is an acrylic/encaustic artist inspired by unusual shapes and textures. Maura McGurk‘s layered, mixed-media paintings evoke the passage of time. Victoria Vinson-Jacobs creates highly textured beeswax encaustic paintings inspired by movement. This month: acoustic guitar by Cody Choi.

Krab Jab Studio  Muppett Rawk! Its an encore reception of the fantastically popular, muppet-inspired group show that pairs iconic album covers with Jim Henson’s beloved creations. Local illustrators and comic book artists are on the roster, and we have new pieces to debut this evening! Illumination Studio # 305 presenting RostadDari Stolzoff, and Ferrell. Celebrating color, Rostad, explores the inner beauty of our neurological system through vibrant color and Ferrell explores spatial and color field through abstraction. Also, Dari Stolzoff with abstract expression in bright color and light. Music by “DJ” Luscious Leopard Lips, who brings our background music with a Theremin synthesizer and keyboards. Always presenting new work, you’ll be glad you came by..


Machine House Brewery Images from the self published zine “No Boys” by Maciek Szczerba. In the streets of Wroclaw, Poland these images are fleeting, open frames of current public life in a thousand year old city. Don’t miss Soul Night following Art Attack with DJ Brownstone spinning vintage Soul, R&B and 70s/80s tunes.

Praxis Arts Theoria Gallery presents “faster ways to die” by Rich Stevens. During the month of March, you are invited to experience this multidimensional show hosted by Praxis Arts. studio e  Opening March 10, 2018, is Thicket, a group exhibition of paintings centered on the intersection of vigorous materiality in medium and earthy/ natural images, whether depicted or suggested.  Featuring Sarah Norsworthy, whose thick paint application suggests an abundance of organic fecundity; Brian Cypher‘s energetic monochromatic brush strokes produce prickly, tree-like silhouettes; Tyler Keeton Robbins‘ densely packed monochromatic directional strokes evoke an almost cellular dynamism; and Rachel Maxi, whose earthy pallet and painterly plentitude at near-frosting levels converge in forms abstracted from nature.  March 9th-April 7th, 2018

Equinox Studios  is a growing arts community in West Georgetown, home to over 100 artists working in an inspiring array of mediums, including dance, blacksmithing, welding, woodworking, cycle fabrication, sculpture, painting, film, glass and art performances monthly.
