Interstitial presents SIGNALS, the collaborative project by artists Nicolas Sassoon and Rick Silva depicting the alteration of natural forms through computer graphics thru April 28.

Describing their process as “pairing complementary fields of research in computer imaging,” Silva and Sassoon execute visual renderings of seascape environments through video installation and sculptural work. This exhibition is presented in partnership with the Disjecta Contemporary Art Center as supportive programming to Chromatic Saturation by Sondra Perry. The final exhibition of the Season 7 Curator in Residence Program lead by Julia Greenway.


Atelier DF7  is the working art studio and exhibition space of painter, collage-artist Dede Falcone. Squarely positioned as a strong abstractionist painter for over 20 years, Dede collaborates with private clients and interior designers to create original commissioned art-works.  Works are also available for purchase; framed or unframed in a variety of dimensions, and color. Guests are welcome to ask about process and creation.


Prairie Underground  FOUND Space (in absentia) is pleased to present our inaugural exhibition: softcore, a two-person show featuring L.A. and Seattle-based artist Lauren Fejarang and Seattle-based Indonesian-American choreographer & performer Imana Gunawan, opening on Saturday, April 14th 6 -9pm.

Georgetown Liquor Company  Francine Buckner will be showing photographs of the Georgetown neighborhood and other urban and rural landscapes, microscopy photos, and a collection of portraits of Istanbul and it’s street cats.


Krab Jab Studio and Mainframe offer 2D Works by Stephanie Law and Socar Myles, a beautiful reprise of illustrators. Several works in ink and watercolor featuring birds, foxes and butterflies will be on display. Although the art is from past shows, its too lovely not to be seen again!

Illumination Studio # 305  presenting RostadDari Stolzoff and Ferrell. Abstract paintings, Rostad, explores the inner beauty of our neurological system through vibrant color and Ferrell explores spatial and color field through abstraction. Dari Stolzoff with abstract expression in bright color and light. Also welcoming our visiting artist Romona Bell. Music by “DJ” Luscious Leopard Lips, who brings our background music with a Theremin synthesizer and keyboards. Always presenting new work, it’s a celebration of color.

Praxis Arts Theoria Gallery, a part of Praxis Arts, presents a solo exhibition from Gordon Wood. Join us during this free and family friendly event as we discuss and view 10 brilliant pieces of multimedia artwork during the opening reception, April 14th 6-9pm.


Nupasa Gallery is showing the art of Rick Klu. “My art is not about the mastery of any one medium. It is a way of thinking that I apply to all that I see and do.” – Rick Klu. While being accomplished in many mediums,Rick Klu generally produces visual art in the form of paintings, drawings, photographs and video.This latest body of work explores form, contrast, and texture through black and white mostly. But, included are some pieces in color, as well, to illustrate a contrast between the two.

studio e  Absence: A group show including artists Saul BeckerMathew Borrett, Stephanie Buer, and Madison Vander Ark. The absence of humans in human-made or manipulated environments is depicted in different settings and circumstances that evoke a variety of feelings, whether through abandoned buildings, nostalgic longing, momentary absence, industrial objects left to decay in nature, or futuristic ghost cities. Experience “Absence” through your own presence. Show runs April 13th – May 19thls converge in forms abstracted from nature.  March 9th-April 7th, 2018

Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery Jonathan Evison reads from the 10th anniversary edition of his debut novel All About Lulu, winner of the 2008 Washington State Book Award. He has since gone on to a stellar career of bestselling books including West of Here, The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving (adapted to a Nexflix original film starring Paul Rudd and Selena Gomez), and This is Your Life Harriett Chance! On display will be an exhibition of prints by Wallace Wood.

Georgetown Records  Saturday, March 10, 8:00 PM, Berlin musician Mary Ocher performs songs from her new album, The West Against the People, produced by Krautrock icon Hans-Joachim Irmler of Faust.


All City Coffee  Clutter by Steven Reddy. Steven Reddy draws detailed scenes of urban clutter in pen, ink and watercolor. Steven teaches Illustration at Gage Academy in Seattle, has two online classes with Craftsy.com, taught at the USk 2017 Symposium in Chicago, and has published three large-format illustrated memoirs based on 40 years of obsessive daily drawing. His latest book is Everyday Sketching and Drawing: 5 Steps to a Unique and Personal Sketchbook Habit.

Bridge Productions  Kat Larson, “carefull” Come by the next 2 Saturdays, 2-7pm to see Kat Larson’s tender imagery in photos and video. Among our favorite pieces is this lightwell, in which you discover inner light. Other works include slideshows of the Ghost, shot during Larson’s residency in Reykjavik.

Prairie Underground  Artist Residency featuring Francesca Lohman. Francesca Lohmann will be Prairie Underground’s Artist in Residence for the month of March. The residency is an open-ended exploration within the gallery space using taffy, floral materials, and other collected objects to produce new work.

Ceres Studio located at 5626 Airport Way S is featuring live music, homemade, seasonal bites, and four painters: Deborah Stachowic does beeswax encaustic, fused glass, jewelry, and watercolor. Marie Stuppard is an acrylic/encaustic artist inspired by unusual shapes and textures. Maura McGurk‘s layered, mixed-media paintings evoke the passage of time. Victoria Vinson-Jacobs creates highly textured beeswax encaustic paintings inspired by movement. This month: acoustic guitar by Cody Choi.

Machine House Brewery Images from the self published zine “No Boys” by Maciek Szczerba. In the streets of Wroclaw, Poland these images are fleeting, open frames of current public life in a thousand year old city. Don’t miss Soul Night following Art Attack with DJ Brownstone spinning vintage Soul, R&B and 70s/80s tunes.

Praxis Arts Theoria Gallery presents “faster ways to die” by Rich Stevens. During the month of March, you are invited to experience this multidimensional show hosted by Praxis Arts. studio e  Opening March 10, 2018, is Thicket, a group exhibition of paintings centered on the intersection of vigorous materiality in medium and earthy/ natural images, whether depicted or suggested.  Featuring Sarah Norsworthy, whose thick paint application suggests an abundance of organic fecundity; Brian Cypher‘s energetic monochromatic brush strokes produce prickly, tree-like silhouettes; Tyler Keeton Robbins‘ densely packed monochromatic directional strokes evoke an almost cellular dynamism; and Rachel Maxi, whose earthy pallet and painterly plentitude at near-frosting levels converge in forms abstracted from nature.  March 9th-April 7th, 2018
