Ring in the new year with Georgetown Art Attack as we celebrate the industrial, fine arts, contemporary visual, performing arts/artists, music, and makers that thrive and inspire in Seattle oldest neighborhood! The FREE and family friendly Art Ride Bus tours the art destinations, including the west end locations such as studio e, and Equinox Studios, with pick locations thru out Georgetown, enabling your inner art lover to experience it all.

Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery   Tom Van Deusen Expelling My Truth release party featuring an exhibition of original drawings and book signing. Opening January 12, 6:00 to 9:00 PM  Exhibition continues through February 7.

All City Coffee   presents Happening . Happening is a collection of information about arts-focused community projects coming to Georgetown in 2019 meant to inform the public about these projects and invite participation and feedback. The Georgetown Super 8 Film Festival, Mini Mart City Park, and The Georgetown Arts District Committee.

Rainier Glass Studio   Become part of the glass art experience, browse the gallery of NW artists unique blown glass art and stay for live demonstrations at 7pm during Art Attack.

Oxbow   Rafael Soldi is going to be in the space exhibiting work in progress, and we will be open for Art Attack 1/12.

HOUSEWRIGHT   is a gallery and showroom with artifacts, art, furniture, lighting and textiles. Established by designer Tim Pfeiffer and architect Steve Hoedemaker as an extension of the duo’s desire to share a range well designed pieces for the home ranging from new production, found objects from around the globe, treasured antiques, and pieces sourced from workshops and artists. Featuring the work of Kim Van Someren , Sue Danielson , Emily Gherard, in partnership with Bridge Productions alongside artists, Alfred Harris , Jill Young Rosenast , Alex Marshall , and Nancy Fargo.

Illumination Studio# 305   Color Meets Color . Come in to where color lives . We specialize in abstract, organic, color field and spacial paintings. Dari Stolzoff with abstract and organic, Ferrell with color field and spacial, Ramona Bell with narrative, abstract paintings and Badieh Bryant painting geometric abstract. Also enjoy Luscious Leopard Lips , our D.J. with a Theremin, playing atmospheric music in the background. Color at its most vibrant .

Machine House Brewery   Ryan Lofftus is an artist who works out of Common Area Maintenance in Belltown. He drinks cheap beer, watches a lot of horror movies, loves punk music and printmaking, and likes being positive. Come find him at Machine House Brewery during Art Attack.

The Palace Theatre and Art Bar   is hosting an early Pop-up shop featuring local artists from 3-6pm. Beginning at 7pm we are featuring a new drag show Dames of Dragdoing a themed show called VH1 Divas . Come and join us!

The Georgetown Liquor Company  is featuring the work of local artist Dave Ryan of Manticore Stencil Art! Acrylic & aerosol on wood, pop culture prints & more!

Fogue Studios & Gallery   Solo show and Exhibition featuring the art of Jane Caminos “ON WOMEN BOUND” representing through art, marginalized women around the world. “I believe that artists have a responsibility to enrich their cultures. The aim of On Women Bound is to increase awareness of crimes against women, be they a world away or an instance of domestic violence in a couple’s kitchen. The Elysian Taproom presents Blake Blanco ‘s paintings that are primarily of sculptures that range from iconic to spectacles of decay. Throughout this series, the artist explores ways of renewing the vitality of the sculptures, and in some instances, transforming the them into the observer. The work frequently couples with nature in a way that replicates its environment through surrealism and allegory. The Elysian Taproom is located at 5410 Airport Way S, in the North Building of our Airport Way Brewery.

studio e   Green FuseSarah Norsworthy Immerse yourself in the Pacific Northwest forest through the artwork of Sarah Norsworthy. studio e is delighted to present our first solo exhibition of Norsworthys’ paintings, ranging from expansive panels, to delicate inks on paper, to multi-panel composites grafted together. Few artists capture the dense, organic atmosphere of the forest as tactilely as Norsworthy, whose paintings exude the scent of moss and humus. Often adopting the woods themselves as her studio, Norsworthy soaks up their essence and transfers the experience to her panels. Thick layers of oil paint seem to grow from her surfaces like bark, lichen, or vegetation. Jan 3- Feb 9, 2019

David Johansson, a Seattle artist since the early 80’s has moved from his Capitol Hill location known as The Art Cave to Georgetown in the Hamilton building at 6007 12th Ave South above Via Tribunali and across the hall from The Alice Gallery. Johansson Art Gallery (JAG) is David’s working studio. The walls feature an eclectic mix of paintings in a salon style, floor to ceiling display. Many different images hanging depending on the mood and present motivations. Come on up the steps and take a look at the paintings. David looks forward to meeting the folks that make Georgetown such a sumptuous and creative enclave of Seattle.

Bridge Productions  is honored to present New Trees, Tim Cross’ second solo exhibition at the gallery. In the artist’s new body of work, he will continue his exploration of color, form, and material to describe his fantastical science fiction scenery and unfamiliar chromatic terrain. The title, New Trees, suggests a hint of new growth and optimism emerging from the foreign ground. As we view this new land through Cross’ fractured kaleidoscopic perspective, we imagine a new beginning.

The Hammie Salon  hosts Springtime in The Palouse, photography of  Brenda J Pederson. The Palouse is a magical place. In the spring, the undulating hills, electric green of young wheat and lentils, and the brown and gold, plowed and fallow fields create a patchwork of amazing beauty. In this exhibit Brenda Pederson explores the Palouse Scenic Byway sharing a small glimpse of this enchanted kingdom through her photos.

Miller School of Art  presents the collection, “Joy” by Heather Danso. Her playful approach to the process of painting creates dramatically delightful portraits and playful abstracts, which intentionally celebrate diverse expressions of empowerment, happiness, and beauty.

Krab Jab Studios hosts An Evening with Betsy Tinney.As we continue our summer group show “Im’ago Primordialis”, we celebrate midsummer with a cello concert by composer Betsy Tinney. studio e  contiiues Let’s Explode In A Climaxical Burst Of Being Here, the widely heralded work of Tim Kerr.  An original member of the skate punk band, the Big Boys, and currently member of Monkeywrench, Tim has also established himself as a notable painter. Juxtapoz recently characterized his solo show at the Rosa Parks Museum as “linked to justice and knowledge.”

Bosworth Hoedemaker presents two bodies of work by Rafael Soldi being: Life Stand Still Here is a conceptual manifestation and exploration of myself, my fears, and moments when life and its darkest facets can offer monumental symbolism. This work approaches loss with a dark, visually abstract lens through of sculpture, altered photographs and digital creations. Sentiment an emotional exorcism of sorts, they represent a struggle to reconstruct a life without the very thing that defined it.

Illuminiation_Studio

Illumination Studio #305  presents Rostad and Ferrell. Rostad, being in the medical field, explores the inner beauty of our neurological system through abstraction and vibrant color and Ferrell, having a degree in art, explores spacial and color field through abstraction and planes of color. Also, Luscious Leopard Lips, with vast musical tastes, brings atmospheric music as a DJ with a Theremin synthesizer and keyboards.
