Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery   Celebrate Fantagraphics Bookstore’s 12th Anniversary with the exhibition HOW NOT TO DRAW COMICS  by Seattle cartoonist-turned-painter Jeremy Eaton. Opening Saturday, December 8, 6:00 to 9:00 PM with music by Bounty of the Wayside and The War of Northern Aggression . Exhibition continues through January 9.

All City Coffee   Holotropic is a series of works by Leo Shallat that explores the themes of growth and self reflection exhibiting thru December. Holotropic is defined as “Turning or changing – movement toward wholeness.” Each piece in this collection details a specific challenge, or aspect of self growth. These pieces are personal to the artist but are intended to explore themes relevant to anyone on the journey of self discovery.

Rainier Glass Studio   Become part of the glass art experience, browse the gallery of NW artists unique blown glass art and stay for live demonstrations at 7pm during Art Attack.

Georgetown Music Join us for an acoustic performance from local songsters Bobby Malvestuto, Candice Rose and special guest.

Mainframe  Paintings, illustrations and photography will be showcased at Mainframe during Art Attack. Featuring the photography of Paul Hernandez ‘s grunge era retrospective, “Star Gazing” .  Alongside these are the coffee sketch illustrations of Bud Cook , entitled“Grunge Gods” , as well as the surreal, whimsical pen and ink drawings of Socar Myles . Local artists Julie Baroh and Kyle Abernethy , the founders of Krab Jab Studio will also be exhibiting sets of fantastical paintings.

Illumination Studio# 305   Concepts In Abstract . Come in to where color lives. We specialize in abstract, organic, color field and spacial paintings. Dari Stolzoff with abstract and organic, Ferrell with color field and spacial, Ramona Bell with narrative, abstract paintings and Badieh Bryant painting geometric abstract. Also enjoy Luscious Leopard Lips , our DJ with a Theremin, playing atmospheric music in the background. Color at its most vibrant.

Georgetown Arts and Cultural Center   “Figures and Landscapes”, new works by local artist Dave Clay. Dave’s work expresses the emotional and physical aspects of sexuality,isolation, distortion and environmental elements that affect each one of us. Lush and sensual examples of the human body and Industrial landscapes.

The Palace Theatre and Art Bar  presents Holiday Pop-up art shop and Disco Christmas Party ! The New Palace Theater and Art Bar is doing an artist’s pop up shop for Art Attack Dec 8th. Come in to shop local artists and then stick around for a fun night of Christmas Disco with Disco Vinnie.

Praxis Arts Through The Crystal Ball an exhibition by Alyson McCrink (Spellbound Fine Art). Seattle based professional artist whom creates other worldliness in a variety of mediums, sizes and textures utilizing ink, gold flake and resin on wood panel, as well as acrylic, modeling paste and gold/silver/copper leafing on stretched canvas.

studio e   Warren Dykeman continues to “hunt for the right kind of wrong” as he merges folk art, Neo-primitive, graphic art, and typography in his latest mixed-media collaged paintings. In Attention Span , his second solo exhibition with studio e, and following his recent show at Volta NY, Dykeman has found an original way to bring digital designing tools into his artwork, and juxtapose those with the physical and abusive handling of his pieces. The resulting works showcase the artist’s signature iconography including exquisite weeds, “big dumb boots,”, potted shrubbery, flaming wigs, floating scaffolding, and mysterious silhouetted figures achieved by digital manipulation of a hand-drawn form and shape, further reworked by traditional painting and drawing techniques.


Equinox Studios   invites you to our VERY OPEN HOUSE! Join us for an evening of art and enchantment! Three buildings full of art and art interactivity! Come straight to Equinox in West Georgetown or take the ArtRide shuttle from Airport Way. Meet the artists, watch live demonstrations (fire! metal! more!), warm yourself by the bonfire, listen to music, feast at food trucks. Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery presents Visual Abuse: Jim Blanchard‘s Graphic Art 1982 – 2002. Book signing and exhibition focusing of Blanchard’s posters, illustrations and record covers from Seattle’s grungemovement.

Bridge Productions  is pleased to present Emily Gherard‘s MAKING PRESENCE KNOWN, hauntingly tender works, evoking a feeling of landscapes receding into the distance, or figures emerging from the fog. Employing the accumulation of repetitive marks or tearing, scratching, or sanding the surface to remove a day’s labor, Gherard builds up a physicality which brings tangible weight and gravity to her work.


The Hammie Salon exhibit Water & Light — A celebration of light, color and texture, new work by Deb McCarroll including limited-edition printed salmon and textured works bursting with color and light opens on Saturday November 12 for Art Attack. McCarroll’s love for natural processes is on display in her layered paintings of Northwest-themed birds, fish and moody umbrellas. “I love materials that show age and history. Natural imperfections, oxidation-I love ‘painting’ with that kind of chemistry.

Krab Jab Studios will be open for Art Attack, 6-9pm featuring resident and  guest artists. Beautifully told tales in mixed mediums.

studio e  Warren Dykeman’s show “Would I go home again?” carries forward a familiar language the artist has called upon throughout his career. Multiple means of communication dominate his image making, in the form of signage and universal directions. His disgorged jumble of letters and forms make a direct reference to communication. This interest in communication becomes apparent in his robotic and silhouette renderings.


Equinox Studios is an arts community in West Georgetown, home to over 100 artists working in an inspiring array of mediums, including dance, blacksmithing, welding, woodworking, cycle fabrication, sculpture, painting, film, glass and art performances monthly.


Machine House Brewery is hosting Cry Now, Smile Later, a show of photographs from Seattle photographers Christopher Brown, Tara Sloan, and Ryan Mortensen.

Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery welcomes back Seattle native Charles Burns, one of the founders of the alternative comix movement, to discuss his masterpiece Black Hole and other seminal works as part of Fantagraphics 40th anniversary festivities. The critically acclaimed exhibition R. Crumb: Early Works, 1965 – 1967 remains on view. November 2, 2016.

Bridge Productions and guest curator Tracy Rector will present a gathering of contemporary work by Indigenous artists begun with her landmark show this past January, YOU ARE ON INDIGENOUS LAND, an exhibition reminding us of where we stand and the importance of truth, place, and identity. Featured artists include Lauren Monroe Jr, Raven Julia Juarez, Nahaan, and Steven Paul Judd. Opening reception, October 5, 6-9 PM. Also open for Georgetown Art Attack.


The Hammie Salon celebrate their 1 year anniversary with the magical work of Abbe Johannes. Using her face and body as canvas, Johannes creates characters and stories, then photographs the result to share with her audience.  Her creations are mesmerizing and will draw you in, as you experience the flawless merging of reality and imagination. With October leading to Day of the Dead celebrations around the world, stop in to be inspired by Abbe’s amazing talent. Opening festivities begin at 5pm, October 8.


Krab Jab Studios  presents Gods of the Wyld: Allen Williams, with Forest Rogers, Stephanie Pui-Mun Law, and the Schiflett Brothers. Illustrator Williams is known for his fluid, dark and mysterious drawings, and in this show he releases the lesser known gods of a forgotten past. Supporting this show is new work by sculptors Forest Rogers, the studio Schiflett Brothers, and watercolorist Stephanie Pui-Mun Law. Opening October 8, 6-9 PM.


Eight and Sand hosts The Tarot Show featuring 78 tarot Carnival. It’s time for the annual Tarot show! This year will feature several artists from the 78 Tarot Carnival deck as well as many local and national artists who will show their own interpretation of their chosen card. There will be decks available and possibly a tarot reader.
